this was what i did over the weekend plus my paper. i failed to update because of the bonfire hype 
it took me quite a long time to vector this. im not really used to metallic shades and stuff that i have to vector. but im getting the hang of it!:D

while searching for reference photos for my thesis, i found this!
its the Audi A9 Concept Car 8D
it engines are in its wheels & its nano technology windshield thing extends until the roof! oh and it can change its color! owzum 
) I want one!
On a more kinda serious note! FINALLY I can seriously continue my thesis! Thank you core subjects for getting out of my life. (ish) Finals week to go! but horay more time for thesis

While checking my presentation, I had a new idea for my logo. So I made a completely new one I blame Tata Yap for saying logos are eureka moments. Last minute paa. So. Good jooob. I need to redesign my template for the presentation now.

I have tons of catching up to do 
For the past week or more, I’ve been in bed resting because of a flu caused by bacterial infection. I don’t really know how I got it, maybe during my immersion? ( para namang nagsusubo ako ng kung anu-ano para magka bacterial infection ) We went to the hospital during the early stages of my flu. I thought it was dengue but my platelet count was only bordering dengue and normal but I’m anemic so hmm..? A few days later, I got covered with rashes but I think I got an allergic reaction to one of my medicine (something with amoxicillin). Oh and my nose started bleeding, but then it was really hot that day and it’s kind of normal for me. Plus my mom forced me to drink water every 5 minutes and virtually chained me to my bed. Actually, I don’t really know if I had dengue or not. We never really went back to the hospital ’cause my fever went down (then up again) several times.
Anyway, back to business! Before and after my dengue-ish incident, I was able to accomplish several things.
- Finish my trailer and my presentation
- I was able to get manuals and take pictures of several vehicles for reference. But im still not done with this. Im trying to at least get pictures from all brands. Im not sure if i should put the brands in my project (hindi ata pwede? ) But I just need several types for my project Here’s a list of what I have so far.
- Honda City
- Honda Civic
- CR-V
- Santa Fe
- Starex
I got sick after this. Im going to continue this next week Hi blockmates! Can I take pictures of your cars?:D
-I was able to talk to the mechanic and basically he really narrowed down the things I need to include in my project. He mentioned that there’s really not much quick fix ups for cars nowadays. Most cars that do actually break down are towed and brought to the car shop. Other problems like squeaks here or there don’t really need immediate attention and you can still drive to your nearest casa to get it fixed. But my project wont be too narrowed down because I added more types of cars to my list, and I’m going to include how to prepare your emergency kit, i think some emergency phone numbers like towing companies? mmda and such.
-I also decided to change the style I’m going to use. I said before in my earlier presentation that I want to adapt the mr. bean solid shade vector look. While doing my thesis trailer, I realized that its too simplified. The user wont be able to recognize it. Especially if you’re a girl who never used a tools before and because the tools are all in the same color. I’m aiming for simple, but still recognizable.
I’m so behind my schedule And I still have my core subjects I just hope I don’t get sick again

i started reading more books about cars and editing my paper. I wanted to add at least 3 more pages to my paper last night but ended up removing 1 1/2 pages. I need to finish filtering information asap so i can actually start working on mapping them out and designing.
Also, I had a brief conversation with our mechanic and he said i can only get so much from books. “Wala naman ata sa libro yung mga ginagawa namin. Di naman ako nagbasa lang nang nagbasa para matuto nito. Alam mo naman mga pinoy, mapaaraan.” So this weekend, I’m going to have a meeting with him. And theen, hopefully I can schedule a meeting with out family friend who graduated with a degree in mechanical engineering. He owns a casa now. I’m guessing there will be differences, but I really really hope not. (please make my life easier )

I just found out that if I really want my project to be available to almost all cellular phones, I need to have 3 programming outputs. Im still going to make all the designs and animations using FLASH. Im just going to hire a programmer and pass it on to him to convert it to JAVA aaaand OBJECTIVE C.
heres why:
1. Objective C – since Apple hates FLash, this is the best option for their products (iPhone, iTouch) Plus my programmer said java sucks on iPhone and Obecjtive C is actually a lot lot LOT easier to use than Java.
2. Flash – This is not merely because it’s the only program i know how to use for animation and programming. Flash can be used or read by something they call androids in mobile phones. Buuut these androids are usually only available on samsung and maybe ericson phones. Aaand this is what I worked hard for! The original design + animation. My. blood. and. sweat. :O hahaha!
3. Java – I wanted to remove this since the programmer said it’s hell to use and it’s not that nice on apple anyway. But then I forgot that most people used Nokia phones. Most Nokia phones don’t have that android thing that can make flash work in their phones. Only the new ones do.
Soo I’m stuck with three. But the programmer assured me that the schedule will still basically be the same since Apple applications are easily made. My budget will range from 15-20k. 20k if ever the programming reaches a month. It really depends on my original design. But more or less it’l take a month. I have to start saving :O And I really need to fix my tentative year long schedule ASAP!:|

It’s almost 2 am and I’m on my 11th page. This paper still needs heavy editing and filtering of information. On the other hand, I never thought I’d be able to complete 10 pages in less than a week Yay! I’m having some problems with my appendix though. Although I have tons of pictures, they all look the same. Also, I’m still thinking about what approach I should take with designing the procedures given that I can only work with a very very small canvas. Hmm..

Went to the Library today with Louis, Tata and Chino for thesis research. I would definitely not recommend people to stay there for more than 6 hours straight or you’ll freeze like a popsicle. (I did)
For some reason, I feel like some student in Ateneo is taking on the exact same thesis topic as I am. 90% of the books that I needed about cars were not on shelf. WHYYYY!! I was still able to find and read some related books but they weren’t as specific as the ones that I had originally searched for. I expected to finish checking all my sources today but I guess I have to go be a popsicle again tomorrow. I had to find other sources but at least it forced my brain to look for other possible areas in my topic that I could still research on. If I can still find those missing books then I’ll have more information to work with. And with luck, reach the 30 page requirement! Here’s to hoping that those books will be on shelf tomorrow!

in Thesis
I FINALLY have a blog! After weeks of trying to figure out how to make a website using wordpress! Thank you Tata Yap for pointing out that there’s a difference between wordpress.ORG and wordpress.COM! And now, time for thesis updates!
Since I just created my blog, I never had the chance to post my thesis ideas. But on the plus side, I have finally settled on a thesis topic:
Car Emergency Guide for Women
(This was actually one of my top choices and the very first thesis topic that I thought of)
If you know me personally, you would probably be say that I’m one accident-prone kid. I stumble randomly while walking, fall off my chair, bump into doors or posts, and get sprains from playing sports. But my more traumatizing unlucky experiences were actually car related. I’ve experienced driving through flood, suddenly saw my engine emit a lot of smoke, and got a flat tire. Also, this infamous gang who threw raw eggs on windshields, almost robbed me. Not knowing what to do on all occasions, I panicked, did all the wrong things and caused more damage to my car and myself. I figured this was definitely one problem I would like to solve, not only for myself, but also for other clueless girls out there.
Since I hated the fact that I had to look for the info I needed from the thick manual that came with the car, I decided the output for this project would not be a book. My main output for this would be an interactive application on mobile phones. Easily downloaded and conveniently used. Hopefully I’ll be able to pull everything off with flash and.. java :O
